Band Bio
When you think of Madison, Wisconsin, what comes to mind? UW Badgers? A binge-drinking college town? Left-winged liberal hipsters running amok? Cheese? Head shops and Halloween
on State Street? How about anthemic, hook-laden, life-affirming pop/rock music? If the latter didn't occur to you, meet SUNDRIEDTRUTH: they call Madison home, and fueled by the town's vices, have penned an album worth of catchy, upbeat, and blissful indie songs.
Comprised of members Pete Gargano, Brian Nolan (from AMERICAN HI-FI), Kenny Brown, Cal Schave, and Jamison Downing; SUNDRIEDTRUTH was born one fateful 4th of July night in 2004.
It was at one of Pete's family get-togethers at "Uncle Gino's" place where Brian, who had just took a temporary leave of absence from American Hi-Fi, and Pete discussed starting a band. In August of '07, as the stars aligned, the then four-piece (with Drew Parsons, also of American Hi-Fi), entered Sonoma Mountain Estates Studio in California to begin recording their debut album, Underdog. Additional production on Underdog was then done at SUNDRIEDTRUTH's own studio, dubbed "House Arrest Studios". The album was released in fall 2009 and was met with positive reviews and national airplay.
Fueled by it's fresh, new line-up, SUNDRIEDTRUTH continues to gain momentum and recognition with their unique brand of fiery melodic rock, backed by bombastic live performances.
